The Joint Task Force operating under the 2 Brigade of the Nigerian Army says it has uncovered a plot by criminals to sabotage operations of petroleum refineries in the Niger Delta

The Joint Task Force operating under the 2 Brigade of the Nigerian Army says it has uncovered a plot by criminals to sabotage operations of petroleum refineries in the Niger Delta. However; the task force also known as Operation Pulo Shield said it was equal to the task of securing Nigeria’s national assets in the region, and warned those involved in the alleged plot to have a rethink. The warning was contained in a statement released by the spokesman of Sector Two of Operation Pulo Shield, ELI LAZARUS, which was obtained by our correspondent. According to the statement; the JTF spokesman said the command has been doing its best to ensure the protection of critical infrastructure against vandals and thieves within its area of operations. He said the Brigade Command recently employed a new strategy for the security of refineries, which has led to the elimination of theft of petroleum products.
