This report says the German parliament is due to vote on whether the country should join the international operation against the Islamic State militants in Syria. Reports say the German MPs are expected to back the controversial plan to send the Tornado reconnaissance aircraft, a naval frigate and one thousand, two hundred soldiers to the region. The move is based on an appeal by French President after Paris was hit by terror attacks over four weeks ago. It has been revealed that German forces will not engage in combat, if the Parliament approves the move.
