Insecurity: Governors' resolve to dialoquing with bandits-reports

There are indications that the Nigeria Governors’ Forum might resolve to dialoquing with bandits and victims affected by their attacks to address insecurity in the country.

Governor of Ekiti state, Kayode Fayemi, who is the Chairman of the NGF, gave this indication when he led some members of the forum on a solidarity visit to the Niger State Governor, Abubakar Bello, in Minna, the state capital.


Governor Fayemi, expressed empathy on the current situation in Niger state, just as he called for proper coordination among the security outfits, adding that the synergy was required for optimal result in ending the security challenges ravaging the country.


The governor added that other options might be explored alongside whatever the security institutions are doing, if it means engaging in dialogue.


On his part, Niger State governor, Abubakar Bello said the solidarity visit of his colleagues was a morale booster to him and the people of the state.


Other governors that went on the solidarity visit were; Simon Lalong of Plateau state, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara state, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state and  Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state.
