Thirty Federal High Court Judges have been sworn-in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mahmud Mohammed at the Supreme Court Complex in Abuja. Chief Justice of Nigeria said that the new judges went through very rigorous and transparent process before they were selected.

Thirty Federal High Court Judges have been sworn-in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mahmud Mohammed at the Supreme Court Complex in Abuja. Chief Justice of Nigeria said that the new judges went through very rigorous and transparent process before they were selected. He said over two thousand applications for the office were received by the Federal Judicial Service Commission which were scaled down to thirty.
The selection process required the Chief Justices of Nigeria, Presidents of the Court of Appeal, Heads of Court and the Nigeria Bar Association, NBA. Our correspondent reports that four females are among the thirty new judges sworn-in today.
