Residents of D-Line in Port Harcourt call on Wike,Police to investigate threats to live by Local Vigilate

Residents of Railway axis of D-line in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State have called on Governor Nyesom Wike and Commissioner of Police to investigate the alleged destruction of properties and threat to lives by members of Diobu Vigilante Group now called Diobu Security Service led by Prince Amatari.

Members of Diobu Vigilante Group were reported to have invaded the area, arrested some persons, impounded and destroyed some properties.

 

Some of the residents who spoke to our correspondent said they were surprised with the action of members of the Diobu Vigilante Group who they accused of inflicting machete cut on some residents.

  

One of the landlords of the area who identified himself as Chinonso Okoro also decried the destruction of their properties by the vigilante group.

  

When contacted; the leader of the Diobu Security Service, Prince Amatari acknowledged the incident but called on anyone who is aggrieved to report to the Mile one Police Station for clarification and investigation.
