The Governor stated this at the commissioning ceremony of Isiokpo internal roads in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers state.

Governor Wike also warned leaders of Peoples Democratic Party in the state urging him to support any council chairman in the name of loyalty, stressing that the legacies of the chairmen who are seeking re-election should speak for them.

Governor Wike, also revealed that the Federal Government has refunded to the State Government the seventy-eight billion naira it spent on federal projects.

Also speaking, the former Governor of Anambra state Peter Obi who commissioned the project said the construction of access roads is one of the many ways of fighting poverty.
