This report says, Promise Nna-Wele has stepped down as the Commander of local vigilante group, OSPAC in Igwuruta Local government area of Rivers State.

Wele stepped down after a raid on OSPAC office in Igwuruta by tactical units of the Rivers State Police Command over the weekend.

Our Correspondent gathered that the raid follows a petition by the family of Prince Ogbonda and Peter Opurum who were taken away by members of Igwuruta OSPAC led by Promise Nna-Wele and are yet to be seen barely two months after.

Speaking on his decision to step aside as the Commander of the vigilante group, Promise Wele said it is in the interest of the safety of the communities in Ikwerre Local government, just as he appealed for forgiveness from those that may have been affected by the operations of OSPAC under his leadership.
