Pope FRANCIS has kicked off his maiden tour of Africa with a message of peace and reconciliation to Kenyans. Pope FRANCIS arrived in Kampala yesterday to a reception by thousands of Catholics at the airport and a call on President UHURU KENYATTA.

Pope FRANCIS has kicked off his maiden tour of Africa with a message of peace and reconciliation to Kenyans. Pope FRANCIS arrived in Kampala yesterday to a reception by thousands of Catholics at the airport and a call on President UHURU KENYATTA.The Catholic Pontiff warned that conflict and terrorism feed on fear, mistrust, and the despair born of poverty and frustration. From Kenya, Pope FRANCIS will also visit Uganda and the Central African Republic, before leaving on Monday next week. 

Meanwhile; tens of thousands of people have been celebrating Mass with Pope Francis at a university campus in Kenya. The BBC reports that Catholic worshippers queued in the rain to be part of the open mass, as Pope FRANCIS made a plea for the entrenchment of traditional values. He said the health of any society depends on the health of its families.
