The House of Representatives is to investigate claims about ninety thousand police officers who lost their lives fighting the Boko Haram insurgency.The decision was reached in a motion moved by AHMED YERIMA under Matters of Urgent Public Importance, following revelations by the Inspector General of Police, SOLOMON ARASE. YERIMA sad the IGP’s declaration was alarming and disturbing, considering the delicate security situation in the country. The House thereafter mandated its Committee on Police Affairs to work with other committees and agencies to look at ways to unravel challenges faced by the Police to enable it tackle insecurity.
