NDLEA decries lack of funding as it disciplines its officials

The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has disclosed that proper funding of the agency will help curb the issue of crime and criminality in the country.

Assistant Commander General of Narcotics, NDLEA, Pius Gamde who spoke in an event in Port Harcourt Organized by the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Center decried the level of abandonment being faced by the agency.


Gamde while explaining how far agency have gone in fighting against illicit drugs in the country said only a political will of the government through proper funding will help reduce crime.


Our correspondent Uchendu Ejiowhor reports that the Assistant Commander General of Narcotics, NDLEA listed 50 of its official, who are facing different level of disciplinary action raging from demotion, expulsion and sack following reports of misconduct in service.
