Ikwere LGA of Rivers State witness return of pick pocket, other crimes

The act of burglary, pick pocket and other crimes are said to be gradually returning to some parts of Emohua and Ikwerre Local Government Areas of Rivers State.

Chairman of all the Local Vigilante in Emohua, Chief Emeka Wori who raised the concern said criminal elements are taking advantage of the announcement by the Inspector General of Police to retrieve arms from local security outfits.


Chief Wori while dismissing allegations that members of the Rundele-Odegu Security Peace and Advisory Committee are still bearing arms, said those behind the allegations are enemies of the peace the local Vigilante has brought in the area.
