The Rivers Government has expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of the Rivers state Geographic Information System. The State Government is of the view that the RIVGIS has not been able to deliver on the expectations of its computer-base land management project that was awarded five years ago. The Special Assistant to the Governor on Lands and Survey, ANUGBUM ONUOHA made the observation during a visit to the agency.
ONUOHA said the agency has not been able to meet twenty percent of its responsibilities, despite the huge of funds provided by the state government. He also demanded that the agency adopt electronic-based transactions and payment modules in its operations. ANUGBUM ONUOHA is the Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Lands and Survey.
