The Judicial Panel of Inquiry has received knocks for its method of inquiry on the Agriculture loan.  An observer, who is also a legal practitioner, CHIZI ENYI is of the opinion that former Caretaker Committee Chairmen of Local Government being Presidents of the co-operative societies that benefitted from the Agric grant was irrelevant.

In Rivers State, the Commission of Inquiry investigating selected financial dealings of the Government under the immediate-past administration of former governor, ROTIMI CHIBUIKE AMAECHI commenced hearing yesterday. The commission opened its investigation after a State High Court dismissed a suit filed by AMAECHI challenging the action initiated by Governor NYESOM WIKE.

President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has kicked off his probe of financial dealings of the Nigerian Military, with the setting up of an investigation committee headed by retired Air Vice Marshal J.O.N. ODE. The National Security Adviser, BABAGANA MONGUNO set up the eleven-man committee based on the directive of President BUHARI.

The Peoples’ Democratic Party says it will revive its online system for registration of party members across the country.

The party explained that it deferred its earlier scheduled congresses in Edo state in order to use the state as a pilot for the project and charged all members in the state to make themselves available for the e-registration.
