The National Union of Rivers State Students, NURSS, wants Governor NYESOM WIKE to go beyond release of funds to meet the needs of Rivers State students on government overseas scholarship.
Following the announcement of the release of seven hundred and twelve million naira by Governor WIKE for students under the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency, NURSS wants the Governor to go a step further to reconstitute the State Scholarship Management Board.
The Nigeria Police Force and the Defence Intelligence Agency have agreed to work together to improve the capacity of their operatives.
This was the outcome of a meeting between the Inspector General of Police, SOLOMN ARASE and the Chief of Defence Intelligence, Air Vice-Marshall MONDAY RIKU MORGAN during a courtesy visit to the headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force in Abuja.

The House of Representatives has urged states that owe the West African Examination Council to pay their debts to enable the council meet its financial obligations.
The federal lawmakers also directed the yet to be constituted Committee on Education to intervene in the matter, to avoid the threat by WAEC to withhold results of candidates in the affected states.
