The planned inspection of electoral materials used for governorship and house of assembly elections in Rivers State on 11th of April suffered a setback yesterday. The inspection was meant to take place at the Secretariat of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Port Harcourt, as directed by the Rivers State Election Tribunals sitting in Abuja.

The National Pensions Commission has threatened to clampdown on companies and organizations that deduct pension contributions from workers but fail to remit same to their retired savings account. Director General of PENCOM, Mrs. Chinelo Anohu-Amazu issued the threat while briefing newsmen at the end of a meeting with President MOHAMMADU BUHARI at the state House in Abuja.
