Authorities in Australia  are expected to charge two persons out of five people arrested in rival anti-Islam and anti-racism rallies in Sydney.
The demonstrations saw hundreds protest across the country  with violent clashes reported in Melbourne, as police officers mounted a strong presence in cities  to keep the two sides apart.

Peace talks to resolve Burundi's violent political crisis have stalled after the government side failed to show up.
Ugandan Defence minister CRISPUS KIYONGA, who chaired the talks, said it was not clear why the government stayed away, adding that they would resume when it sends representatives.

The Police in Abia State have foiled an abduction of an unnamed man who was forced into the booth of a car around Ubakala near Umuahia, the state capital.
Security operatives trailed the vehicle to a Police Stop and Search point at Obowo  in Imo State after a tip-off by a witness.
