The US-led military coalition has carried out bombardment of the Islamic State’s main stronghold in the Syrian city of Raqqa.
The US military confirmed that sixteen strikes was targeted at Raqqa, which IS regards as the capital of the caliphate it declared in Syria and Iraq in 2014.
