A group known as Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria has appealed to Boko Haram insurgents to allow peace to reign in the country.
The group made the call in a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Alhaji MUIBI ADEBANJO.

The Nigerian Army has confirmed that it has cleared land mines from the Damaturu-Biu Road which runs between Yobe and Borno States.
In a message on its Twitter page by its Acting Director of  Public Relations, Colonel SANI K. USMAN, the Army said the mission was undertaken by a team of Special Forces.

The Directorate of State Services has dismissed reports of being behind a witchunt against former National Security Adviser, retired Colonel SAMBO DASUKI.
Colonel DASUKI had accused the DSS of laying a siege on his house in a bid to implicate him in alleged security breaches.
The DSS said the raid on DASUKI was based on a credible intelligence linking the army colonel with an alleged plan to commit treasonable felony against the Nigerian State.
