New Judge to oversee Kenneth Kobani trail.

The same change also applies to the trial of the member representing Ikwerre Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly, AZUBIKE WANJOKU.

The development followed the transfer of Justice LIMAN to Enugu Division of the Federal High Court.

You will recall that the Department of State Services arraigned KOBANI and WANJOKU on a three-count charge bothering on electoral offences during the aborted rerun elections on 10th March, 2016.

Our correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR reports that when the matter resumed at the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, it was reassigned to Justice S. SAHEEDU.

The three count charge against AZUBIKE WANJOKU was read afresh and he pleaded not guilty, after which his lawyer, EMENIKE EBETE, reminded the court about his subsisting bail.

Similarly; the Court granted a request to continue the trial of KENNETH KOBANI from where Justice LIMAN left off before his transfer to Enugu.

Both cases were thereafter adjourned to 23rd April for continuation of cross-examination of witnesses.

Outside the courtroom, one of the defence lawyers, EMENIKE EBETE briefed newsmen on the progress of the matter.
