Governor WIKE said the NDDC as presently constituted serves as a fundraising commission for politicians who want to run elections.
The Governor shared his position with the United States Ambassador to Nigeria, WILLIAM SYMINGTON, who was on a courtesy visit to the Government House in Port Harcourt.
Governor WIKE also used the occasion to drum up his call on the United States Government to establish a Visa Office in Port Harcourt to cater to the need of persons who may want to visit the US from the South-South and South-East of Nigeria.
According to a statement from the Government House, the US envoy said he was in Rivers State to interact with the people and learn about their ways.
