National Road Fund Bill by Legislature will not lead to increment in price of petroleum- Senate.

Senator BUKOLA SARAKI gave the assurance contrary to the interpretations of a recommendation by the Senate Committee on Works.

 

 

He said the National Road Funds Bill in intended to make up for the shortfall in funding for road maintenance.

 

 

Senator SARAKI noted that the recommendation of five naira on each litre of petrol for road maintenance was the product of the public hearing conducted by the Senate Committee.

 

 

Senator SARAKI also told newsmen in Ilorin, Kwara State, that the Senate would this week discuss a motion on the interest rates being charged by commercial banks on loans to customers.
