MASOP urge Ogoni to shun Violence in Elections.

MOSOP’s call is against the backdrop of what it considers as high level of intolerance that characterized the political campaigns leading to the re-run elections.

MOSOP President, LEGBOSI PYAGBARA, made the observation during a peace rally at the Peace and Freedom Centre in Bori.

In a statement issued by his Media Adviser, PYAGBARA appealed to Ogoni youths not to allow themselves to be used by politicians to cause violence in the communities.

The MOSOP President also urged political actors to play the game by the rules and shun politics of intolerance and acrimony, adding that election should not be approached with a do-or-die attitude.

He also called on the security agencies to remain professional in maintaining law and order during the polls, while the Independent National Electoral Commission should provide a level playing field for all candidates.
