The Court also directed the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission to immediately reverse the electricity tariff increase.
The court decision was made public in a statement released by the President o the Nigeria Labour Congress, AYUBA WABBA.
The labour leader said the court also awarded the sum of fifty thousand naira as cost against the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission.
He said the NLC considers the judgment as a courageous and deserving of commendation; while urging the Regulatory Commission and Electricity Distribution Companies to observe all conditions of the sales agreement before any increase in tariff.
