The men executed were members of Panjak group identified as the largest cocaine distribution cartel in the country.
According to local news outlet, the leader of the group, Hossein Panjak, who has reportedly been involved in drug smuggling for a decade, was arrested along five other members in 2014 during a party he organised to celebrate his rising wealth.
The judiciary said the Supreme Court confirmed their death sentences, but did not elaborate on their trials.
