PETERSIDE said based on the contribution of Nigerian women since the nation’s independence in 1960, they deserve to be given every support to achieve more.
Speaking against the background of this year’s International Women’s Day celebration, with the theme, “Be Bold for Change,” PETERSIDE said women are indispensable to any worthy cause of humanity.
The NIMASA boss also commended President MUHAMMADU BUHARI for given women prime positions in his administration, who he said have not wavered in their determination to make Nigeria better.
In a statement released by the DAP Media Team, PETERSIDE also stated that NIMASA under his watch will give women the necessary leverage to become whatever they desire.
The APC chieftain in Rivers State called on leaders at all levels to do all within their powers to eliminate prejudices against women and promote gender equality.
He said such efforts should take into account access to education, healthcare and capital for women, as well as the eradication female circumcision and other harmful practices against women.
