Immediate-past Governor of Rivers State, ROTIMI AMAECHI has dismissed the ‘Operation Zero Pothole’ programme of incumbent governor, NYESOM WIKE. AMAECHI said Governor WIKE was constructing roads which he failed to build when he served as his Chief of Staff at the Government House. AMAECHI, who made the statement while addressing APC supporters in Port Harcourt, upon arrival from Abuja, also accused the Rivers State Governor of operating multiple bank accounts.
On the commission of Inquiry established by the Rivers State Government to probe his administration, the former Governor described it as illegal. He said Governor WIKE did not follow the proper guidelines in setting up the commission. Governor AMAECHI also urged APC supporters to commence grassroots campaigns in event the ruling of the Election Tribunal favours the Party.
