I.G.P IBRAHIM IDRIS was made to answer questions in relation to the disappearance of one point nine million naira cash exhibit and some missing firearms.
However, the Police Chief left the venue of the House investigation to attend to other official duties, leaving behind the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of budget, ABDULSAMI IYAJI.
Reading the charge to the police, the Chairman of House Committee on Public Accounts, KINGSLEY CHINDA who is of the PDP from Rivers State, said the Auditor General of the Federation had in 2010 reported four missing rifles along with cash exhibits.
But AIG ABDULSAMI IYAJI explained that the four pistols were assigned to some police officers who were robbed or went missing in various robbery attacks at different locations, including Lagos.
