Ignatius Ajuru University Host Community Questions Claim of Job Slots Allocated to Them

The host community of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education has challenged the Vice Chancellor’s assertion that forty-three job slots were offered to their members. The community is calling on Professor Okechukwu Onuchukwu to publicly disclose the names and details of the beneficiaries to substantiate his claim.

Rachel Nyèche Alabi, an indigene of Rumuolumeni and one of those who reportedly did not receive the employment opportunities, publicly accused the Vice Chancellor of falsehood. She stated that Professor Onuchukwu’s claims in his recent interview are untrue.

Alabi also revealed that the Vice Chancellor had previously met with members of the community and promised to address their concerns. This meeting reportedly took place following a protest at the university on Monday, which was organized by affected community members seeking justice over the employment issues.

The community’s stance has added a new dimension to the ongoing dispute over employment allocations at the university, with calls for transparency and fairness in the distribution of job opportunities.
