West’s claim was on the back of rumours in some quarters that he is being paid by Republicans to be a distraction to Trump’s re-election bid.
Back in April, the rapper and music producer had endorsed Trump for re-election, crediting the politician for a booming real estate market.
But speaking on ‘Cannon Class’, a podcast by Nick Canon, West dismissed the claims, just as he wondered why people would come up with such rumours, claiming that he is already richer than Trump.
According to Forbes, Trump’s net worth stood at $2.1bn as of March 2020 while the US magazine, only declared Kanye West a billionaire in April with a net worth of $1.3bn.
