Here in Rivers State, it appears that there are not enough personnel and equipment deployed by INEC for the exercise, resulting in slow pace in attending to prospective voters.

Our correspondent CHINEDU IWUNNA who monitored the exercise in Port Harcourt and Obio-Akpor Local Government Areas reports long queues of potential voters outside the registration centres.

It was observed that the Obio-Akpor centre had two registration desks, while others were left with one centre to attend to intending voters ahead of the 2019 general election.

Some of the respondents at the centres visited called on INEC to create additional registration centres across the state to accommodate the large number of people that are willing to participate.

There you heard some prospective voters complaining about the slow pace of the ongoing continuous voters registration exercise in parts of Rivers State.
