Health workers under the Joint Health Sector Unions have insisted that their ongoing strike will continue until the Federal Government reviews the Consolidated Health Salary Structure. The strike, which has lasted for several weeks, has disrupted healthcare services in public hospitals nationwide.
The unions accused the government of failing to honour previous agreements reached on welfare and salary adjustments for health workers.
JOHESU leaders said the prolonged strike has affected patients but blamed the situation on the government’s lack of commitment. They called on authorities to urgently address their demands to prevent further deterioration of the health system.
