A group under the aegis of Coalition of Niger Delta Youth Leaders said the move will solve the issues of flooding and waste disposal in Port Harcourt and its surroundings.
According to the National Leader of the group, Adokiye Mujiton-Ogonobere, RIWAMA has not met expectations in waste management. Mujiton-Ogonobere emphasized that dirts blocking drainages and canals are causing environmental challenges due to restricted water flow.
Speaking with Today FM’s Paul Emeka Chimodo, Mujiton-Ogonobere also voiced concerns about the deteriorating condition of public schools in Rivers State, urging the reconstitution of a new board to address these issues.
