The group particularly accused the NSCDC Commandant in Rivers State of the continued frustration of Federal Government and President Muhammadu Buhari’s approved campaigns against crude oil theft, artisanal refineries and efforts of environmental management in Rivers State.
Executive Director of the group Dumnamene Fyneface, in the petition wondered Ogar’s deployment as NSCDC Commandant in the state, when he is alleged to have questionable character.
The petition obtained by Today FM showed the Nigerian Senate President and the Commandant General of NSCDC, were copied in the petition.
Fyneface accused Ogar of frustrating efforts on advocacy against oil theft since he was posted to the Rivers State Command.
The Executive Director of the group, who is also the National Facilitator, Project with Artisanal Crude Oil Refiners for Modular Refinery in the Niger Delta, also urged the Minister of Interior to redouble efforts to significantly reduce security threats, pipeline vandalism, crude oil theft, illegal bunkering, artisanal refining and associated environmental pollution in the Niger Delta region.
