Governor WIKE said youths must imbibe moral values and acceptable social behaviour as captured in the NYSC motto, ‘service and humility,’ and shun all forms of social vices as future leaders.
The Governor stated this during the swearing in ceremony of one thousand, five hundred and seventy-six members of the Batch ‘B’, stream two corps members deployed to the state at Nonwa-Gbam, Tai Local Government Area of the state
The Governor who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Special Service Bureau, in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, GEORGE NWAEKE said, the NYSC scheme is prepared to enrich youths with different activities and potentials to impact the society.
In a statement by Press Officer to Secretary to the State Government, JULIANA MASI, the Governor further commended management and staff of the NYSC for their diligence and steadfastness in creating a brighter future for the educated youths of the nation by partnering the CBN for provision of loans for corps members willing to be entrepreneurs.
Earlier, the State Coordinator of NYSC, CHINWENDU CHUKWU charged corps members to take seriously the skills and habit of love and brotherliness for national integration.
