Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has emphasized that poverty and economic exclusion are the primary root causes of insecurity in northern Nigeria. He warned that unless these issues are tackled comprehensively, the region will continue to experience unrest and instability.
Speaking on the matter, Sani noted that his administration has adopted a data-driven approach to address poverty and underdevelopment, drawing from his experience as a former chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking. He called for holistic strategies to foster economic growth and social inclusion as essential steps toward ensuring lasting peace and security in the region.
