The governor who disclosed this during a television interview said the state government has converted primary and secondary schools that are not flooded into Internally Displaced Persons camps.
Diri noted that the whole state is now one big IDP camp and explained that centers have been opened particularly in Yenagoa, to house displaced persons and begin to attend to their needs.
The Bayelsa state governor also disclosed that preparations have commenced to handle the post flood illnesses that may arise.
