In his first public appearance since returning to office, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has called on the church and citizens to remain steadfast in prayer as he embarks on a renewed journey of governance.
Governor Fubara, who resumed duty after the conclusion of the six-month emergency rule, said intercessions had been a source of strength for him. He made the remarks at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Opobo Town during a thanksgiving service.
Describing his attendance as a personal moment of gratitude, the governor said it was important to quietly thank God for His faithfulness to his family, Rivers State, and Nigeria.
The service featured special prayers led by Venerable Emmanuel Nwuju. Governor Fubara was accompanied by his wife, Lady Valerie Siminalayi Fubara, Chief of Staff, Dr. Edison Ehie, and other top officials.
