The death of Bantex was confirmed by Governor Nasir Elrufai while mourning his former deputy.
In a statement personally signed by him, El-Rufai said he received the news of the death of Bantex with sadness.
According to the governor, Bantex radiated hope and optimism in the future of the state, even when the circumstances were dreary.
Bantex served as a delegate to the 1994 Constitutional Conference, Chairman of Kaura Local Government Council and member of Kaura Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives before becoming a deputy governor between 2015 and 2019.
In the meantime; the Kaduna state government has declared today as a work free day in honour of the late former deputy Governor.
