Our aviation correspondent Precious Nwaoku however, gathered that fumigation of the Port Harcourt International Airport Omagwa has already been carried out ahead of the resumption of operations in 2 weeks time.

An official at the Port Harcourt International Airport said the resumption of work at the airport does not guarantee commencement of flight operations, adding that flight operations can only resume on the directive of President Muhammadu Buhari after being briefed by the Presidential Taskforce.

The source also disclosed that the Standard Operating Procedures for passengers has been developed and submitted to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority for approval, emphasizing that the procedure will be made public after due approval.
