FG denies plans to borrow N2tr pension fund for infrastructural development

Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning ZAINAB AHMED stated that the Federal Government was not planning to borrow borrow two trillion naira pension funds for infrastructure development.

AHMED who spoke at the Udo Udoma and Belo-Osagie second private equity summit in Lagos, explained that the National Economic Council only set up a committee to encourage pension fund managers to invest in infrastructure development.


Ahmed said that now, pension funds managers do not have an opportunity to invest in Open Market Operation anymore just as she explained that government was working very hard to reduce domestic borrowing.
