Fayose secures court order mandating EFCC to defreeze his account.

Justice TAIWO TAIWO issued the ordered on grounds that the EFCC did not follow due process in freezing the bank account of Governor FAYOSE.

The Court in Ado Ekiti declared that the action of the EFCC was illegal, wrongful, unlawful and unconstitutional, and ordered the anti-graft agency to immediately defreeze the bank account.

Meanwhile; the EFCC has acknowledged the order by Justice TAIWO, but said it was going to appeal against the decision in favour of Governor FAYOSE.

In a statement released by EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, WILSON UWUJAREN, the commission said it was yet to receive a certified copy of the ruling.

It equally noted that the order by Justice TAIWO contradicts another order by Justice M. B IDRIS of the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos which gave the Commission the nod to freeze the accounts pending the conclusion of investigation.

The statement further noted that the previous order from a court of coordinate jurisdiction was not set aside by Justice TAIWO.
