Ethiopia Tedros Adhanom becomes WHO boss.

GHEBREYESUS becomes the first African to head the WHO, after winning the most votes from one hundred and eighty-six member states on the United Nations.

 

The Ethiopian replaces MARGARET CHAN, who will step down from her post at the end of June, after putting in ten years.
