Our correspondent JAMES IGAH reports that bill is sponsored by GYANG DUNG, who said the legislation is intended to provide for functions, jurisdiction, qualifications and appointments in spiritual matters as regards the church in Nigeria.

DUNG said the bill is in accordance with Section 37 of the 1999 Constitution, which provides for freedom of thought and religion.
