Man Charged with Selling Drugs to Late Mac Miller
A man has been charged with selling drugs to late US Rapper, MALCOLM MCCORMICK, widely known as MAC MILLER, before he died.
According to prosecutors, the rapper, who passed on at 26 last year in Los Angeles from a drug overdose, thought he had been sold a painkiller called oxycodone by the suspect.
But unknown to him it had actually been laced with fentanyl, a powerful drug fifty times more potent than heroin.
The suspect, 28-year-old CAMERON JAMES PETIT has now been arrested on suspicion of distributing a controlled substance.
Prosecutors say their evidence against him includes messages he sent after the rapper’s body was discovered.
If found guilty PETIT could spend up to twenty years behind bars.
