Our correspondent reports that business activities were shutdown today to during a fasting and prayer session organized by leaders of the community in search of a solution to the resurgence of killing and kidnapping in the area.
Traditional rulers, chiefs and elder, including women, and youth were seen processing round the streets of the community to raise awareness about the exercise.
Speaking in an interview with correspondent, UCHENDU EJIOWHOR at the community playground, the Chairman of the Elele Alimini Council of Chiefs, CHIBUIKE DIKE said neighboring communities now relocate to Alimini following the resurgence of violence in those areas.
Also speaking, a woman leader in the community, PRICILA OKAH expressed need for communities in Rivers state to engage in regular prayers sessions to seek for God’s intervention in restoring peace across the state.
