The State Governor, NYESOM WIKE has been making overtures to Ogoni people in particularly to woo votes in favour of the candidates of the PDP.
The development has raised questions by some concerned stakeholders about Governor WIKE’s seeming excessive interest in Rivers South East Senatorial District.
The opposition camp of the APC Senatorial Candidate, Senator MAGNUS ABE earlier in the week raised alarm about alleged move by the rival party to purchase voter cards in the area for ten thousand naira each.
In the latest development; a group known as Ikwerre-Etche People’s Forum has advised political stakeholders from the two ethnic nationalities to stay clear from politics of Rivers South-East Senatorial District.
The President of the group, EMMANUEL AMADI made the call in an interview with our correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR.
AMADI said the call become necessary to ensure that inter-ethnic bond among political stakeholders in Rivers State is maintained.
Another Ikwerre political stakeholder from Emohua, CHINEDU ODIKE also questioned the interest of some Ikwerre politicians in Ogoni.
CHINEDU ODIK is a political stakeholder from Emohua axis of Ikwerre Ethnic nationality in Rivers State.
