The Egyptian security services allegedly committed the acts in the past year in an attempt to tackle dissent.
Amnesty International said the victims include students, political activists and protesters – some as young as fourteen.
The rights group alleged that many detainees have been held for months and often kept blindfolded and handcuffed for the entire period.
Amnesty’s Middle East and North Africa director, PHILIP LUTHER, said enforced disappearances had become a key instrument of state policy under President ABDULFATAH AL-SISI.
However; the Egyptian government has denied the use of enforced disappearances and torture.
Interior Minister MAGDY ABDUL GHAFFAR insisted that the security services operate within the framework of Egyptian law.
