Speaking to newsmen in his palace in ONELGA Area, General DON WANNI said since his group embraced the state amnesty, they have never been involved in any crisis.
General DON WANNI who is the Eze Oyirunba one of Ogbaland said he is a man of peace, stressing that those linking him to killings in the area particularly the murder of the former Omoku development committee chairman, AZUBUIKE TOBY and his son are enemies of progress.
He commended security operatives for the recent raid on the criminal hideouts as well as the killing of suspected cultists terrorizing the areas.
He urged ONELGA youths especially those who are still engaged in cult related activities to shield their swords for the sake of peace in ONELGA.
The Traditional ruler cautioned politicians against using the youths for their political gains which he said was the cause of endless violence in ONELGA.
The Eze Ochi-Udo one of Ogba land also called on federal government to ensure adequate security in ONELGA which he said will bring about permanent peace.
Also speaking in an interview with correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR, IKECHUKWU WOKOCHA confirmed that DON WANI and his boys are not he killers of his brother.
You will recall that Ogba Egbema Noni Local Government Area of Rivers State has the worst case of violence in the recent times with over ten people reportedly killed within one week.
