Our correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR gathered that Nigrian Soldiers after receiving a distress call over-powered some suspected sea pirates in a fierce gun battle along Batholomew River around Kula Kingdom.
The Chairman of Kula Kingdom Development Committee, LOLO AWARA who confirmed the incident to our correspondent commended the military for their intervention which he said has saved lives and properties of the people.
AWARA however regretted that the inhabitants of Kula kingdom have suffered in the hands of sea pirates with several souls and properties lost.
He called for government’s support in the deployment of security operatives and amenities along the water ways.
LOLO AWARA is the Chairman of Kula Kingdom Development Committee in Akuku Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State.
