The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has again reduced the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), bringing it down from ₦840 to ₦820 per litre.
Spokesman for the refinery, Tony Chiejina, confirmed the ₦20 reduction in a statement on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. The latest price cut comes just a week after the $20 billion facility slashed the ex-depot price from ₦880 to ₦840 on June 30.
According to Chiejina, the new price took immediate effect and reflects the refinery’s continued efforts to make petrol more affordable for Nigerians.
The move is expected to positively impact pump prices and ease some of the pressure on consumers amid current economic challenges.
